I am a licensed clinical social worker and licensed social work supervisor in the State of Alabama with over ten years of community-based practice experience, and another 15 years in social work education, from adjunct to associate professor. I offer supervision and consultation services to individuals, groups, & organizations.
I started the Teaching & Learning in Social Work Blog back in 2013 as a way to share about my teaching practices and to improve my writing. Today, the purpose of this blog is to write about my work with social work students students, creating a record of different pedagogical approaches, success stories (and failures) and new ideas.
With 15 years of teaching experience in higher education, I have dedicated my career to the scholarship of teaching and learning with a focus on high impact teaching practices such as service-learning and interprofessional education, and how to teach with technology.
